About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Schlegel Villages in Whitby, Ontario. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to our residents, working collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective medication administration, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Lead and mentor our Medication-Certified PSWs, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with our Village leadership team to ensure seamless care delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, legislation, and regulations, applying this knowledge to enhance our services.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart Save Level of CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on resident-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation governing long-term care.
