*About the Position:*

We are looking for a Registered Practical Nurse to join our Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy team. We are looking for a candidate who is *reliable* and *organized*, with *excellent communication skills* and capable of providing *exceptional customer service*. Preference will be given candidates who are *proficient with Kroll Pharmacy Management* Software and experienced in *troubleshooting* adjudication issues with public and private payers.

The Registered Practical Nurse will be primarily responsible for assisting our patients navigate insurance challenges and available provincial/federal programs to make their medications more affordable. *Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Provide injections or injection trainings as needed
* May be required to perform injections and infusions
* TB testing may be required
* Communicate with patients, prescribers, healthcare professionals and other key player to support patients through their treatment journey
* Verify and investigate insurance coverage and benefits for patients, including eligibility, co-payments, deductibles, and prior authorizations.
* Gather and document information from patients/caregivers/prescribers in a concise, organized and professional manner
* Complete, submit and follow-up on requisite paperwork in a timely manner
* Liase with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options
* Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients and clinics and provide required updates
* Maintain confidentiality of patient healthcare information
* Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance coverage and reimbursement policies, and communicate these changes to healthcare providers and patients.

*Job Requirements:*
* Excellent customer services skills
* Experience working with Patient Support Programs (Asset)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills- English & French (asset)
* Reimbursement experience (asset)
* Understanding of provincial and private drug coverage criteria
* Familiarity with the Special Authorization process for both public and private insurance in assigned territory.
* Strong computer and Technical skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, tablets, web-portals/internet use
* *Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management System is an asset*
* Making decisions using sound judgment, and meeting deadlines.
* Accurate data collection and data integrity
* Ease with working in a paperless environment.
* Ability to drive for results
* Proven ability to work in a team environment
* Strong sense of organization and attention to detail
* Time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
