Job Summary

Wright Canada Holdings Ltd is seeking a skilled Utility Right-of-Way Sprayer to join our team for the 2024 season. As a key member of our utility operations team, you will be responsible for applying herbicides to fast-growing tree species within powerline ROWs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply herbicides to designated areas using a backpack sprayer
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols
  • Maintain and respect company equipment
  • Follow supervisor instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Identify and respect flagged boundaries and riparian areas
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Travel to assigned work areas, which may be located in remote regions
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Capacity to carry heavy equipment (50+ pounds) on your back
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as pumping and swinging the spray arm
  • Capacity to walk quickly over uneven terrain
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and make decisions as needed
  • Willingness to work in a remote setting and live in company-provided accommodations
  • Preparation for work in all weather conditions
  • Commitment to completing the project and working effectively as part of a team
