About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team at Solaris business development C. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies to promote business investment
  • Administer programs to encourage industrial and commercial development
  • Perform administrative tasks to support business development initiatives
  • Plan and develop projects to promote economic growth
  • Recruit and hire staff to support business development efforts
  • Provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals
  • Conduct research to develop social and economic profiles of areas to encourage investment
  • Prepare reports, research papers, and educational texts on business development topics
  • Provide consulting services to government and other organizations on business development matters
  • Conduct surveys to assess development potential and future trends
  • Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals
  • Design market research questionnaires and develop marketing strategies
  • Evaluate customer service and store environments to improve business performance
  • Design, conduct, and analyze research projects to inform business development decisions
  • Develop feasibility studies and prepare funding applications
  • Provide consultation on planning and starting new businesses
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in business development or a related field
  • Strong understanding of business development principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software
