We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Sushi Garden. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring we have the necessary resources to meet demand.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Supervision and Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
