Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for GNWT lands-related interests and provide expert advice on land use and management.
- Support the development, implementation, and reporting of the GNWT's Land Use and Sustainability Framework and Northern Lands - Northern Leadership.
- Coordinate land use and management research and policy development on behalf of the GNWT and the Northwest Territories.
- Develop, review, and implement lands policies and initiatives, as well as program/operational policies, standards, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in environmental/resource management, land use planning, geography, public policy, public administration, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in policy and program development and analysis, with project management experience considered an asset.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary starting at $58.88 per hour (approximately $114,816 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
