Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Nova Chemicals. As a key member of our procurement operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our warehouse employees, ensuring the efficient and effective management of our inventory and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide formal leadership to the warehouse team, ensuring they are properly utilized for workload balancing and supporting planned and unplanned outages.
  • Develop and implement strategies for spare parts management and warehouse management, working closely with procurement specialists and business stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach team members in the development of personal and team plans that align with business direction.
  • Align the goals and objectives of the warehouse team with the strategic direction of other groups to achieve critical business results.
  • Oversee the warehouse Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) process and ensure inventory levels across regional warehouses are maintained.
  • Develop, track, and analyze performance indicators and benchmarking data for the warehouse operations, driving improvements in performance.
  • Lead initiatives to right-size and optimize inventory levels across all Manufacturing East sites and optimize warehousing operations cost.
  • Champion opportunities for business process improvements in inventory management and warehouse operations, driving agreement and implementation of approved initiatives.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a related field, or equivalent experience and continued professional development.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and people management, with strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to lead teams to the next level of performance.
  • Ability to manage people practices and programs required of leaders within the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with an analytical and data-driven mindset for decision-making.
  • Experience and ability to apply change management knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong communicator, able to facilitate understanding of information and resolve issues internally and externally.
