Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Control Advisor to join our team in Montreal.

As a Senior Risk Control Advisor, you will be responsible for guiding all activities related to fire protection, risk engineering, and risk control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys at client facilities to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Produce risk reports and recommendations to clients and brokers.
  • Develop and implement risk control programs for large clients.
  • Analyze and prioritize insurer recommendations.
  • Support research and development practice on technical issues and considerations.
  • Review and assist clients in the design of building mechanics and fire protection projects.
  • Carry out expertise in fire protection and produce reports.

Requirements

  • Experience in risk control with a broker, insurer, or in-house for a large organization.
  • Experience in site inspection, risk control, and/or fire protection.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Member of the OIQ (Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec).
  • Good understanding of occupational health and safety.
  • Knowledge of NFPA and FM standards.
  • Knowledge of building construction and related codes.
  • Knowledge of one or more hydraulic calculation software.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
