Metro is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Fruit and Vegetable Sales Associate. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our customers have an excellent shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and stock merchandise, including fruits, vegetables, and other products, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare and display produce, including cutting, wrapping, and labeling, to ensure a visually appealing and fresh product.
- Operate a cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the produce department and surrounding areas.
- Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management to ensure that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
