Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including quantity takeoffs, material costs, and labor costs.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand their project requirements and provide estimates that meet their needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the estimating team to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
  • Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimates, including bid documents and client communications.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that estimates meet the company's quality standards and are free from errors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and implement improvements to the estimating process.
Requirements
  • Education: Postsecondary diploma or degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Some co-op or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of construction industry, on-site experience or exposure to construction preferred. Ability to work in a busy team environment, resourceful and self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, outstanding relationship management with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key partners and decision makers.
  • Technical: Strong computer skills, especially well-versed with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
