The Room Services Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service within the hotel premises. This role involves ensuring that all employee facilities, including restrooms and locker rooms, are kept in pristine condition. The attendant will also handle various housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping and mopping hallways and stairwells, while promptly addressing any maintenance issues that arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Possess comprehensive knowledge of and adhere to all departmental policies and service standards.
  2. Uphold cleanliness standards at an exceptional level daily.
  3. Perform cleaning duties in employee locker rooms and restrooms as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor, including replenishing supplies.
  4. Maintain cleanliness in back-of-house hallways and light fixtures as necessary.
  5. Conduct sweeping and mopping of hallways, stairwells, and housekeeping areas.
  6. Vacuum back-of-house hallways as required.
  7. Restock housekeeping supplies, amenities, and clean linens, while collecting dirty linens.
  8. Weekly cleaning of staircases.
  9. Deliver requested items to guests efficiently.
  10. Assemble and store rollaway beds and baby cribs as needed.
  11. Refill Room Attendant's chemical bottles during the evening shift and ensure all supplies are stocked.
  12. Replace used rugs with clean ones.
  13. Maintain cleanliness of service elevators, including tracks and walls.
  14. Retrieve new supplies from the loading dock and store them appropriately.
  15. Distribute promotional materials and magazines to guest floors.
  16. Store Room Attendant carts properly and ensure they are stocked for service.
  17. Dispose of trash in the compactor after recycling.
  18. Assist with special projects as assigned by the PM supervisor.
  19. Support furniture movement as necessary.
  20. Utilize proper safety signage at all times.
  21. Perform general cleaning duties in public areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
  22. Conduct carpet shampooing and upholstery cleaning.
  23. Ensure cleanliness in all food and beverage outlets, including floors, windows, and surfaces.
  24. Maintain compliance with LQA and Forbes audit standards.
  25. Oversee the maintenance and usage of the hotel's fireplace.
  26. Exhibit a friendly and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  27. Fulfill additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: A minimum of one year’s experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role within a luxury hotel or resort setting.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

General Skills: Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize tasks effectively; maintain composure and resolve issues with sound judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand and meet guest service needs; collaborate effectively with team members; work independently with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with proper cleaning techniques and equipment usage; knowledge of chemical handling and safety protocols.

Language: Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of exerting physical effort, performing various movements throughout the work areas, and communicating effectively with guests and co-workers.

Licenses & Certifications: None required. Must be legally eligible to work in the region.
