About the Role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tunnel Inspector to join our Rail and Transit group in our GTA Offices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing inspection duties on underground tunnelling projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections of tunnel construction to ensure compliance with client terms of reference and safety requirements.
  • Monitor contractor work for adherence to contract specifications and applicable safety and environmental legislation.
  • Take corrective action when non-conformances are observed, in consultation with the Construction Manager.
  • Make recommendations for emerging project issues and propose solutions.
  • Work nights, weekends, and extended shifts as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC inspection of TBM tunneling with precast concrete segmental lining.
  • OACETT rcsi designation or PEO EIT designation considered an asset.
  • Strong judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a cooperative attitude.
  • MTO Class 'G' driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle.
