About the Role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tunnel Inspector to join our Rail and Transit group in our GTA Offices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing inspection duties on underground tunnelling projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections of tunnel construction to ensure compliance with client terms of reference and safety requirements.
  • Monitor contractor work for adherence to contract specifications and applicable safety and environmental legislation.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, and work with the Construction Manager to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement solutions for emerging project issues.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts, as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC inspection of TBM tunneling with precast concrete segmental lining.
  • OACETT rcsi designation or PEO EIT designation considered an asset.
  • Strong judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • MTO Class 'G' driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle.
