Position Overview
As an Experienced Transportation Project Manager, you will take the lead on a diverse range of intricate projects while providing guidance and support to junior and intermediate engineers. Your main focus will be on directing transportation initiatives, managing a skilled team of engineers and technicians, and working closely with clients to develop and execute innovative transportation strategies.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and supervise highway and civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Deliver project engineering and technical expertise, including modeling, analysis, and design services across various disciplines.
- Oversee Transportation Engineering projects, managing financial aspects, project timelines, and client relationships.
- Engage in studies, assessments, modeling, and both preliminary and detailed design work, including cost estimates and contract documentation.
- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design plans.
- Draft proposals and comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, utility agencies, and contractors.
- Conduct senior reviews and provide professional validation of memos, reports, drawings, and other engineering documentation.
- Lead and participate in Business Development efforts.
- Plan projects meticulously, developing precise scopes of work, cost estimates, project schedules, and deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes within budget and on time.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, drafting, and support personnel.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, technologists, and designers, promoting their professional growth.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on highway, road, and related infrastructure design.
- Eligibility for registration or current registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in designing highways, roads, and other transportation-related infrastructure.
- Demonstrated project management and technical capabilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, NBDTI, NSTIR, and TAC geometric design standards.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
