Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of care and education.
  • Activity Planning: Plan and lead activities that promote learning and development, including storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Child Development: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe them for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.
  • Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Activity Coordination: Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Team Collaboration: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3)
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, team player, and values and ethics
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
