Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Shell Canada.

Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their tasks.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet business needs.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will be required to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
