Position Overview: The Community Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our retail outlet, ensuring a seamless experience for customers and volunteers alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Supervise all aspects of store operations, including product merchandising, pricing strategies, inventory management, and customer service.
- Sales Optimization: Maximize retail sales through effective marketing techniques and upselling strategies.
- Inventory Control: Ensure a smooth flow of inventory from intake to purchase, maintaining optimal layouts for merchandising to enhance sales.
- Community Partnerships: Actively seek and cultivate partnerships within the community to secure product donations for the store.
- Education and Awareness: Inform staff and community members about product needs and the benefits of donations.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to promote items and activities that boost donations and visibility.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all staff and volunteers are trained in health and safety protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Volunteer Management: Oversee and develop volunteers, recognizing their essential contributions to our mission.
- Budget Management: Manage the operational budget to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Training Participation: Engage in all relevant training opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, with a focus on team leadership and process optimization.
- Strong relationship-building skills within the community.
- Experience in financial report analysis and monitoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and general technology.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Availability to work on weekends as required.
