About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Editor to join our team at Abler HD Canada INC. As an Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our published content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and select suitable material for publication, taking into account factors such as relevance, accuracy, and audience appeal.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the significance of copy and its implementation, ensuring consistency and coherence throughout.
  • Plan and design the layout or format of copy according to allocated space or time constraints.
  • Publish and distribute text to the desired audience.
  • Conduct thorough checks for errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax, ensuring the highest level of quality.
  • Adjust the length or content of copy as needed to meet specific requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate coverage of upcoming events, assigning tasks accordingly.
  • Negotiate royalties with authors and initiate payments to freelance staff.
  • Collaborate with authors, staff writers, reporters, and others to revise copy and ensure consistency.
  • Plan and coordinate activities of staff, ensuring production deadlines are met.
  • Prepare introductions, marketing materials, bibliographic references, indexes, and other text as required.
Requirements
  • Availability for shift or on-call work.
  • Current legal ability to work in Canada.
  • Current level of study.
