Work EnvironmentOur kitchen is characterized by a noisy atmosphere with odours and heat typical of a bustling food service establishment. The role involves working in various locations within an urban setting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates for operations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Compile food order summaries for the chef.
- Possess knowledge of the restaurant's culinary specialties.
- Establish and manage work schedules for kitchen staff.
This position involves supervising various roles, including:
- General cooks
