About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Construction Equipment Operator to join our team at Ruby Rock Asphalts Works Ltd. as an Asphalt Finishing Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as graders, asphalt spreaders, pavers, and rollers to ensure efficient and high-quality asphalt finishing.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks to maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment as required.
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to stay in touch with team members.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment to minimize downtime.
Work Environment

As an Asphalt Finishing Specialist, you will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at various locations, including construction sites and warehouses.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail.
  • Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Steel-toed safety boots required.
