Bakery Sales Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Bakery Clerk to join our dynamic team at Innisfail Food Store. As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, packaging and labeling bakery products, and performing tasks such as slicing bread and frying donuts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Package and label bakery products for sale, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks
  • Perform tasks such as slicing bread, frying donuts, and utilizing ovens as directed by bakers
  • Stock shelves and pull freezer products as needed, maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Assist in setting up products for the following day and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with some heavy lifting required
  • Prior experience in a bakery setting is an asset, but training is available
