About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Movati Athletic. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our clubs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine building maintenance, including repairs and preventive maintenance, to ensure the club's facilities are in excellent condition.
  • Ensure all building assets are promptly and safely maintained, including electrical, audio, video, pools, plumbing, painting, HVAC, grounds, and maintenance.
  • Actively assist with troubleshooting and investigating building operating/fitness system outages, preparing return to service action plans.
  • Obtain quotes and serve as the point of contact for external contractors, providing direction upon arrival and verifying work completed prior to departure.
  • Strictly adhere to Health and Safety practices and procedures to ensure the safety of all, maintaining a healthy, safe, sanitary, and timely environment.
Requirements
  • Community College Certificate as a Class II Building Environmental Systems Operator, licensed trades certificate, or equivalent an asset.
  • Three (3) years of continuous experience in operation and maintenance of building systems.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical Systems, and BAS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification and prior knowledge of pool operations preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
