Position Overview

We are in search of a driven, entrepreneurial, and meticulous Finance Director to lead our financial strategy and operations. This role reports directly to the President and works closely with other members of the leadership team to facilitate growth. This position presents a unique chance to significantly influence our business direction, utilizing your expertise in global financial management, technology integration, and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement financial strategies that bolster business expansion and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to enhance resource allocation and performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls, processes, and technological solutions to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and improve financial reporting and analysis.
  • Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Manage treasury functions, including cash flow optimization and capital allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote initiatives that drive revenue growth and cost efficiency.
  • Supervise international financial operations, encompassing foreign exchange, tax compliance, and regulatory obligations.
  • Direct financial aspects of supply chain management, including cost analysis, inventory oversight, and procurement.
  • Guarantee precise and timely financial reporting across various entities and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Proven success as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or in another senior financial leadership role within a growing small to medium-sized enterprise (revenues between $30-$60M).
  • Deep understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and corporate finance, particularly regarding hardware product lifecycles and their financial implications.
  • Experience managing international financial operations and multi-currency accounting and consolidations.
  • Demonstrated success in enhancing business scalability and driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with technology integration, including hardware-focused ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics365 Business Central) and financial analytics tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for translating financial data into actionable insights.
  • Strategic mindset with the capacity to foresee market trends and seize emerging opportunities.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial management, including at least 3 years in a Finance Director or equivalent role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams and execute financial transformations in scaling businesses, ideally with international operations.
  • Proficiency in complex financial software ERP systems, particularly in hardware-focused industries.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to excel in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
