Job Summary

The Clinical Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence in resident care, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services at Wing Kei.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote resident-centered care, safety, and well-being.
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery and promote a culture of teamwork and effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to care team members, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Health Care Aides.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education programs for care team members.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate records and reports, including resident care plans and incident reports.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) and current CPR certification.
  • Annual MDS Competency Certification required.
  • Experience as a professional registered nurse with proven success in leadership roles in Long Term Care or Supportive Living.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on resident-centered care and safety.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on staying current with best practices in resident care.
