Medical Lab Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Lab Technologist to join our team at LifeLabs in Surrey, BC. As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic testing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing
  • Perform, interpret, and release results while ensuring patient confidentiality
  • Identify incidents and non-conformities, participate in corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology
  • Participate in problem-solving and workflow optimization
Requirements:
  • College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse individuals
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills, including issue identification and follow-up
  • Ability to maintain strict safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality standards
