Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information, and contributing to patient well-being and better health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Perform and release test results, maintaining patient confidentiality.
Identify incidents and non-conformities, participating in corrective action plans and driving continuous improvement.
Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
Participate in problem-solving and workflow optimization.
Requirements
College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse individuals.
Good computer skills and knowledge.
Problem-solving skills, including issue identification and follow-up.
Ability to maintain strict standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
