Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is in search of an Associate Physician to join the Neurosurgery division. Become a vital part of our team at Vancouver General Hospital and enhance the quality of care delivered to our patients.
Role Summary:
- Oversee the management of pre-operative, post-operative, and non-operative neurosurgical patients under guidance.
- Facilitate the daily care of neurosurgical patients within the hospital setting.
- Formulate treatment strategies and execute necessary procedures with supervision.
- Engage in effective communication with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to rounds, engage in professional development, and participate in quality enhancement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of postgraduate training as a medical specialist.
- Certification from a recognized medical licensing examination.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Eligibility for registration with CPSBC.
- ACLS certification is mandatory.
- Capability to diagnose and manage perioperative complications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Competence in using computers for medical record documentation.
- Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
