About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Robinson Haulage Inc. as a Construction Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Measurement and Preparation: Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting of heavy equipment and materials.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and lubricate cranes and other heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Material Mixing and Application: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Site Cleanup: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure safe and efficient movement of personnel and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with regular working hours.
