About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Team Member to join our team at DPC Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. as an Operator, Packaging. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to the production of high-quality dairy products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the tear down of equipment for cleaning and ensuring the efficient and effective use of equipment and material resources.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Use specified amounts of chemicals to clean packaging equipment and work areas at required times.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP Requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • May move heavy equipment and supplies as required.
  • Ensure that safe conditions exist at all times within the work environment and will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of all employees.
  • Responsible for communication between shifts with previous/oncoming shift Leadhands as well as Packaging, Technicians, and Supervisors of key issues or potential issues.
  • Maintains effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Packaging or designate.
  • Flexibility to work shifts outside the normal shift when required.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Experience in food manufacturing or packaging, preferably dairy manufacturing
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team
