Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at BC Cancer in Prince George. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing individualized drug therapy to patients, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized drug therapy to patients through methods such as receiving patient charts, assessing clinical response, and creating individualized therapeutic plans.
  • Interact with patients and healthcare teams to ensure appropriate medication therapy and develop therapeutic plans.
  • Prepare and dispense medications and other pharmaceutical supplies to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
  • Provide verbal and written drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Assist with the provision and/or financial support of non-BCCA benefit medications required to optimize the therapeutic plan.
  • Provide instruction and/or supervision of pharmacy students and/or pharmacy residents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy with current registration as a Licensed Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program.
  • One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
