Your Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical expertise in geotechnical projects, including field investigations, laboratory test interpretations, design, construction, and geotechnical assessments.
  • Support senior engineers in developing proposals, cost estimates, geotechnical studies, and engineering reports for projects of varying complexity.
  • Oversee the planning of geotechnical site investigations and assist field supervisors.
  • Conduct geotechnical analyses such as bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Prepare geotechnical studies and engineering reports with recommendations on various project aspects.
  • Manage projects of different scales, providing technical input and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on geotechnical consulting projects.
  • Advocate for and participate in a safety-first culture.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Geological Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical studies from an accredited institution.
  • A postgraduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Geotechnical Engineering is advantageous.
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Registered (or eligible for immediate registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Proficiency in standard geotechnical software such as Rocscience or similar tools.
  • Strong skills in technical writing, interpersonal communication, and emotional intelligence.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong team spirit.
