Co-op Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Staff Accountant to join our team for a four or eight-month co-op placement from January – April/August 2025.
As a Co-op Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for taking on increasingly important audit and assurance roles on client files in a variety of industries and business sectors. You will work closely with all members of your team, including senior managers and partners, to gain exposure to both audit and tax and provide you with the practical experience required to obtain your CPA designation.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Preparing notice to reader and review engagements
- Participating in audits
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
- Learning how to manage your workload in a fast-paced environment
- Working on accounting files in their entirety
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to maintain good relationships with people, show a good deal of initiative and judgment, and be able to recognize and analyze problems and propose sound solutions.
