Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced leader for the role of Section Manager, Transportation. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing and executing the District's transportation initiatives, guiding a team of skilled professionals in the planning, development, and implementation of transportation strategies that align with our community goals.

Your responsibilities will include providing expert guidance in the areas of planning, public engagement, policy development, and design for transportation projects of local and regional importance. This encompasses expanding active transportation networks, enhancing transit services, and implementing safety measures that reflect the District's transportation vision.


As a leader, you will excel in communication and collaboration with various stakeholders. Your background in transportation engineering and planning, combined with your knowledge of traffic operations, road safety, and infrastructure management, will be essential in addressing both local and broader transportation challenges.

Key Qualifications: You should possess a degree in Civil Engineering along with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in transportation planning and design. Experience with municipal agencies or major transit projects is advantageous. A valid Driver's Licence is also required.

Your ability to analyze complex data, interpret engineering specifications, and communicate effectively will be vital in achieving successful outcomes for the District and its residents.
