We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinarian Associate to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality medical services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine therapeutic procedures, including vaccinations, dental work, and fractures
- Diagnose and prescribe medication to sick or injured animals
- Consult with pet owners on preventive healthcare and carry out medical and surgical procedures
- Provide a range of veterinary services, including obstetrics and euthanasia
- Offer general wellness and vaccinations, nutrition, and weight management programs
- Enforce government regulations in disease control and food production
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate billing
- Participate in continuing education and stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary practices
Requirements:
- 4-5 year university degree in veterinary medicine
- 1-2 years of experience in small animal medicine
- Completion of national certification examinations or equivalent
- Provincial licensing in the relevant province
- Proficiency in anesthesia protocols and strong surgical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
