Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  • Cultivate and enhance robust relationships with carriers.
  • Assess and relay feedback regarding carrier performance to the Logistics Planner.
  • Maintain proactive communication with carriers to ensure timely execution of shipments.
  • Monitor shipment status and relay necessary updates to the Logistics Planner.
  • Address initial inquiries regarding loss, damage, and shortage claims on shipments.
  • Ensure all orders are tracked in real-time.
  • Communicate any in-transit issues promptly.

Analytical Reporting:

  • Foster and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with clients.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Generate and evaluate service and volume reports, highlighting any discrepancies.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports detailing volume, revenue, service, and margins for each client.
  • Oversee EDI and order entry processes, aiming for complete EDI compliance.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of pickups and deliveries.

Corporate Alignment:

  • Execute all responsibilities in accordance with corporate strategic goals.
  • Uphold corporate values of LEAD WITH GRACE in all tasks.

Performance Measurement:

  • Ensure high data integrity when managing and processing orders.
  • Confirm the accuracy of carrier data prior to order completion.

Additional Duties:

  • Provide support and cover for team members as required.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Must possess a proactive attitude, ready to embrace new challenges.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are required.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual.
  • Capable of multitasking, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Familiarity with North American geography is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current market trends is crucial.
  • Post-secondary education is considered beneficial.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management is required.
  • Experience with AS400 is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team setting with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Capacity to collaborate in a team-oriented environment with limited oversight.
