Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Attendant III to join our team at the Whistler Health Care Centre. As a key member of our Stores Department, you will be responsible for receiving, shipping, storage, distribution, record keeping, and material handling duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate computerized and manual user inventory and other Stores records.
- Receive, sign for, unpack, and check goods shipped to the Hospital; identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers and complete necessary documentation.
- Place incoming Stores inventory items in the appropriate storage location; rotate stock.
- Handle hazardous goods in accordance with guidelines.
- Process user stock requirements into the automated Material Management system; assemble and distribute supplies to storage areas of applicable departments.
- Monitor supplies in user areas and maintain required quotas.
- Operate the pallet-lift, forklift, and other material handling equipment.
- Conduct accurate counts of stock items during physical counts to meet audit or inventory control requirements.
- Maintain security measures for the Department as per policy and procedures.
- Keep work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition.
Requirements
- Grade 12 plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
