Position Overview:
The primary aim of this Clinical Specialist role in Cardiac Rhythm and Electrophysiology is to assist the Divisional Manager in fulfilling the Division's objectives. This role is pivotal in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving business growth through dedicated clinical support.
Contractual Commitment:
This position requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commercial Support: Act as the main resource for clinical assistance, addressing a variety of issues related to electrophysiology procedures, device implantation, troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up for company products.
• Customer Education: Provide informative presentations and demonstrations to educate clients on the benefits and proper clinical application of company products, ensuring they are updated on the latest advancements in products, therapies, and technologies.
• Clinical Research: Conduct clinical and library research, and engage in case reviews and clinical observations alongside physicians and hospital staff.
• Procedure Support: Attend unit implants and assist in electrophysiology procedures within hospital labs and operating rooms, ensuring successful patient follow-up with implanted devices.
• Client Engagement: Meet with current and prospective clients to assess their clinical needs and discuss how company products can support their objectives.
• Relationship Development: Build professional relationships with hospital personnel through networking, meetings, and conference participation to identify key decision-makers for future sales opportunities.
• Customer Solutions: Address complex customer inquiries and complaints regarding products and services by devising innovative and practical solutions in collaboration with relevant teams (sales, clinical, research, marketing, technical support).
• Clinical Trial Assistance: Provide technical support for clinical trial activities within the designated territory, including site authorization and adherence to study protocols.
• Training and Support: Deliver initial and ongoing training for clinical center staff on trial protocols, clinical processes, and product features under investigation.
Qualifications:
• A university degree (BSc or equivalent) is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical support role within the medical device or hospital sector, specifically in cardiac sciences.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting ECGs.
• Familiarity with electrophysiology procedures.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional clinical support that fosters excellence in the field.
• Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
• Willingness to travel across Canada.
