We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at 1327774 B.C. as a Teacher for persons with autism. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with autism spectrum disorder.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Training
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with autism.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum that promotes academic and social growth.
- Student Support
- Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to students with autism.
- Assist students in developing life skills, such as communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
- Program Development
- Work with specialists to develop programs that cater to the diverse needs of students with autism.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in autism education.
- Share expertise and knowledge with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of education.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience
- At least 3 years of experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder.
