We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the construction of a new hotel project in Aurora, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall construction management, including design, budget, and schedule coordination with the project manager, subcontractors, owner, engineers, and architects. Key responsibilities include managing work on-site to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety regulations, planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels and material quantities, and ensuring proper equipment and trades are available as required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in ICI construction, a working knowledge of scheduling and project management, and advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings. Additionally, the candidate should have strong scheduling experience, the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions, and lead a large team to successful completion. The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of the Building Code and local by-laws, as well as Prime Contract Requirements and types of subcontract agreements.
