Crawford & Company is a global leader in claims management and professional standards. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Professional Standards.

This role will be responsible for developing and overseeing our professional standards program, including the management of professional indemnity claims. The successful candidate will have a strong background in loss adjusting and litigation management, with experience in professional indemnity (E&O) claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain professional standards policies and documents.
  • Collaborate with management team to drive compliance with professional standards.
  • Manage professional indemnity claims made against the organization.
  • Report claims activity and outcomes to risk management and insurance team.
  • Oversee robust privacy and compliance management program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in insurance, law, business, or a related field.
  • 10 years of loss adjusting and litigation management experience, with direct experience in professional indemnity (E&O) claims.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Expert-level knowledge of claims management, including loss adjusting, mediation, and litigation management experience.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Frequent internal and external communications at all levels of the organization.
