Job Summary

Chinook School Division No. 211 is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Casual Library Clerk. As a key member of our Resource Centre team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of our resource centre, and contributing to the overall success of our division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers and students in locating and utilizing resource centre materials
  • Supervise students in the resource centre, promoting a safe and respectful environment
  • Maintain computer-based circulation and cataloguing protocols, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping
  • Support the provision of patron services, including answering questions and providing research assistance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Ability and experience working with children
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Positive and flexible attitude towards change
  • Commitment to truth and reconciliation, and supporting diversity and inclusion
