Program Focus: Occupational Therapy, CAPABLE & Employee Support

Work Schedule: Daytime hours

Bi-weekly Hours: 75

Location: Hybrid-remote with necessary travel within Nova Scotia

This position will oversee two pioneering initiatives: the CAPABLE program and the Employee Support Program.

The CAPABLE initiative is designed to improve the functional mobility, independence, and safety of economically disadvantaged seniors aged 65 and older, enabling them to live independently in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and evaluates the delivery of client care services and the daily operations of front-line staff in alignment with regulatory standards and VON policies.
  • Supports staff in conducting risk assessments and investigating incidents related to clients or employees.
  • Regularly assesses performance against funder expectations and contributes to quality improvement initiatives to meet performance benchmarks.
