Product Engineer Opportunity

MEDA Engineering and Technical Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our team in Windsor. As a Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and enhancement of automotive components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automotive components and systems that meet performance, quality, and cost objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful design and development of automotive parts
  • Utilize root cause analysis skills to drive issues to closure and ensure compliance with customer and company requirements
  • Responsible for the engineering, design, development, validation, timing, and production release of assigned systems
  • End-to-end ownership of components and ensuring they meet vehicle functional objectives
  • Component design, development, and packaging; design verification plan and report testing, CAD model management
  • Weight reduction, cost reduction, and other efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Communicate technical product status to management and support vehicle assembly plants for any product technical issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of continuous line plastics experience with a preference for instrument panel experience
  • Interior cockpit knowledge and experience with injection molding tooling, fixture, and plastic components preferred
  • Experience with OEM or supplier design and release
  • Understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret a 3D CAD model and related drawings a plus
  • Experience with component builds and execution
  • Experience with production process feasibility and development, including mold flow analysis or other interior component manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards (IATF16949 & ISO14001)
  • High level of proficiency in problem-solving
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability
  • Demonstrated innovative thinker
