Position Overview

The Security Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization’s assets, personnel, visitors, and clients. This position involves maintaining order and ensuring a secure environment both within and outside the premises.

Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be tasked with:

  • Monitoring and patrolling designated areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion.
  • Responding promptly to alarms and incidents, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Providing assistance to staff and visitors as needed, promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Documenting any security-related incidents and maintaining accurate logs.
Qualifications

We invite applications from candidates who possess the following:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 or GED certification.
  • A certificate from an accredited security training program is advantageous.
  • Experience in security or related fields is preferred.
  • Familiarity with building maintenance practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French, is desirable.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent part-time position, requiring approximately 15 hours of work every two weeks.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $21.68. Eligible candidates may also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
