About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Systems Student to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a Building Systems Student, you will play a key role in supporting our construction projects and contributing to the growth and development of our team.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze contract documentation, including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Identify potential delays or interferences prior to project start-up and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Manage and maintain shop drawing logs for electrical equipment and material submittals.
  • Coordinate with electrical and mechanical subtrades to ensure timely submission of materials and equipment.
  • Assist in reviewing and providing comments on shop drawings prior to submission to consultants.
  • Perform quality control inspections with consultants and Building Systems Coordinator/Manager.
Requirements
  • Strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.
