About the Role:

PAL Airlines is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President, Aerospace Programs to lead our aerospace programs from conception through execution. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing complex aerospace projects, developing and maintaining program schedules, budgets, and resource plans, and ensuring alignment with company goals and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver aerospace programs, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  3. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure program milestones are met.
  4. Oversee risk management and mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
  5. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on program statuses and addressing any issues or concerns.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business development teams, and external partners.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  8. Lead and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  9. Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  1. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Program Management, or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience in aerospace program management, with 10+ years in a leadership role.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale aerospace projects and delivering results.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  5. Past experience in customer negotiations will be a critical skill set.
  6. In-depth knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with employees and external stakeholders and partners.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  9. PMP or equivalent project management certification would be considered an asset.
  10. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under high pressure and tight deadlines.
  11. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
