Physiotherapy Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in implementing exercise and education programs for seniors, focusing on increasing mobility, pain relief, building strength, and improving balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement exercise programs tailored to seniors' needs, promoting independence, cognition, mobility, and quality of life.
- Monitor residents while utilizing exercise equipment, ensuring safe use and proper infection control practices.
- Prepare and maintain progress reports and metrics on participants, providing data as requested.
- Support the development and implementation of programs and objectives, contributing to the ongoing education of residents.
- Collect and analyze data for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Degree in Kinesiology, diploma in PTA/OTA, or other relevant post-secondary education.
- First Aid (CPR & AED) Certification.
- Experience working with seniors and group programming is an asset.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Mandatory requirement: As per the Ministry of Long-term Care and the sites we service, Lifemark Seniors Wellness staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
