About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account their specific dietary requirements.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure that they are presented to the highest standards.
  • Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff and helpers, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Hold a Safe Food Handling certificate and a Food Safety Certificate.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Have expertise in Filipino cuisine.
  • Security and Safety: Have a clean criminal record, pass a medical exam, and undergo a drug test.
  • Work Terms: Be available to work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Language: Be proficient in English.
