Job Title: ERP Project Manager

Work Environment: Must be available to work in the office at least three days a week.

The ERP Project Manager role involves the strategic planning, coordination, oversight, and execution of intricate IT ERP projects aimed at fulfilling organizational objectives. This position includes supervising and guiding the personnel accountable for the organization's project portfolio, ensuring the efficiency of key elements of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the formulation of annual IT budgets.
  • Direct and evaluate the activities of team members.
  • Manage relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and business units.
  • Oversee project teams comprising Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Business Analysts and Application Administrators, providing mentorship and motivation as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive business analysis tasks, including workflow assessments and establishing business information standards.
  • Manage project budgets effectively.
  • Define project scope and objectives clearly.
  • Create functional process diagrams to assess business operations.
  • Provide recommendations on user interface layouts.
  • Design or modify both manual and automated business procedures.
  • Support the development of business processes and related documentation.
  • Draft detailed specifications for business applications.
  • Expertise in business process redesign and re-engineering.
  • Play a crucial role in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new business applications and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Engage with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to clarify business requirements and system objectives, while identifying and resolving system-related issues.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to assist management in implementation decisions.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to coordinate and execute thorough testing, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  • Research hardware and software products to justify recommendations and support procurement efforts.
  • Provide training and orientation to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Complete project and system support documentation in accordance with specifications.
  • Meet with clients and IT professionals to clarify expectations and designs.
  • Consult and synthesize information from various technical documents to develop software applications.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and their representatives to gather information, clarify project specifications, and reach consensus on system needs.
  • Monitor and adjust project costs as necessary to ensure adherence to budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration.
  • PMI PMP Certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with business applications such as IFS and other ERP systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems logically when encountering issues or bugs in software applications.
