Investment Finance Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Finance Analyst to join our Private Equity team at OMERS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to our investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to support investment decisions and portfolio performance.
- Transaction Support: Assist in the execution of transactions, including due diligence, financial modeling, and deal documentation.
- Accounting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and complete financial records for all investments, and maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in our financial operations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including deal teams, legal, tax, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of transactions and financial reporting.
- Education: Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, or finance.
- Experience: Experience in investment management, pension fund, or financial services industry is an asset.
- Professional Designations: Completion or enrollment in Chartered Professional Accountant designation is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced level).
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
